    And here we have the problem with reduced red gas in normal Distance. I would rather have played normal today for the Merle tokens. Instead, I'm being forced into hard if I want all of the red gas. Ugh.

    Even so, many thanks to @TJS and @msapaev for their efforts!

    Thanks! I've been checking this thread for weeks, waiting for some weak Normal Distance hero tokens. Today I'm going to attempt Hard Distance for the first time. My team is 3x L23 Assault - Rosita & Governor, led by Abraham - but their kit is still from L22 or before.
    ...Half way so far - managed some farming - will have to start using charge attacks soon though. Will try Sasha as leader when they get chewed, or Tara to heal them. Didn't realise just how many badge fragments & components you win early, so even though I'll probably be wiped out before I reach the great hero tokens I've still won some good stuff.

    UPDATE: Managed 15 rounds, but after that it's grabbed>rag-dolled>dead LOL (Tara wasn't going to patch that up)! The last 6 mission rewards are really good too, but what I won was worth it.

    I'll be trying Hard Distance again later, assuming the rewards from last time are repeated.
    Do we know if those weapon & armour rewards are random (different for everyone) or just secret (same for everyone).
    If I remember I'll take a screenshot of the weapons/armour I win and post them for comparison (unless they're already known to be random).

    The Distance Rewards are the same for everyone but equipment traits are random so will be different for everyone.

    Great job on your first attempt at hard distance. Just a quick question, were you only using your assaults and then Sasha or Tara? You should use the early stages to charge as many survivors as you can, then you will have more fire power for the later rounds.

    Yes, you're 100% right with that tactic. I used to do that ages ago on Normal when I was low level, but forgot last try on Hard! I am charging up my back-up reservists in the early rounds this time, from my Outpost team and 2 spare Assault survivors. One per round, using my 2 best survivors to guide them through - I'm not particularly tactically savvy with forms of attack that aren't Assault.
    ...That said, in the end I had weak L22 survivors versus L33 walkers, so charged attacks wouldn't have helped much. Really I died on round 14, but when I sent in the next squad the fence was open, so I just had to run to it. Same happened on round 15 - my reserve team died and the next attempt I could just run to the exit (those Scouts do have some use, LOL!).

    Anyway, as promised - on Hard Distance round 3, my epic 'Liberator' Assault rifle reward had Accurate, Destructive & Lucky traits. See pic:

    ...For round 5 of Hard Distance my epic Assault armour was Reinforced Broadsider Suit with Health Boost, Stun Resistance, and Dodge.

    Thanks! Looks like I'll go back to Normal for the 8 Dwight & 45 Rufus tokens, and also because I've only just collected last week's free 24hr fuel/2x XP bundle, so I can do lots of farming of 99 walkers for their double XP.
    ...Then I'll have another of those free bundles to collect!
