I won the spring Kingdom Spear and have it fully boosted. Every scout I add it to has a drop in attack points Is something wrong here?

    Spear has lower base damage than other scout weapons

    Without the spear you'd have to be really lucky to drop lvl 42 Big Boss Man. I suppose it would be possible to use bruisers to take take on the initial spawn and use an incendiary ranged survivor to help and then light up that Tank but you might need more luck than the entire country of Ireland.

    I worked hard and spent gold and finished up the 3000 to win it, and the base of the kingdom spear is a crappy uncommon weapon. Is this a glitch or is this just what it is? UGH! What a waste!

    Shooters do more damage than hunters, does that make hunters a waste?

    When a weapon targets multiple ennemies, it makes less damage per hit than a weapon that targets individual ennemies. It's simply how the game works.

    I am sure this will be hugely useful in certain circumstances:

    (1) hitting multiple enemies in one attack
    (2) hitting though a gate etc when they are further away
    (3) giving you more range for the second attack after a swift strike kill

    Those are just the ones I have thought of - I’ve only just finished upgrading mine so only just started using it. I am sure there are others on here who can give other examples of uses for this weapon.

    Yes, the base damage might be lower but it gives more flexibility. I already switch my scout between threat reduction and swift strike weapons, this is just another option for them.

    Personally I love this weapon, think it is superb

    I'd scrap it if i was you. The spear is only deadly in my hands.

    And when a tank sees me with 3 pikes in one hand they head for the hills.

    Very disappointing and another waste of time for the kingdom spear. Lower than a four star weapon.

    The maximum weapon level difference is 645 with the standard one, it might not seem useful but hitting an enemy at a distance with a scout is important!

    Spear is awesome! Just got mine upgraded and tested it in some outpost raids. So much range, being able to hit multiple targets and through fences. I'm going to spend my upgrade token on this thing first. Can you tell this is my first spear?

    I have a fully upgraded Kingdom Spear, but I don’t see a lot of utility to it since it has that damage delta between itself and my fully upgraded knife with Swift Strike, Lethal, and Razor. Sure, you don’t get a swat back from a walker - but usually my scout is a one shot kill anyway. What would make the weapon much more useful is if you didn’t actually take fire damage from a flaming walker - as would likely be the case if you stabbed a burning object with a long, pointy stick.

    Attacking from distance -> avoiding getting hit, which means instant struggle against high level walkers.

    With swift strike, it allows you to kill up to 6 enemies in one turn.

    Thanks to silver destructive, >100k charged attacks possible.

    I don't know which level you're at but instant kills with scouts (except charged attack of course) isn't very likely against high level walkers (lvl35/36+).

    The spear, especially combined with a bruiser as a tank to protect your scout, is probably the best weapon in the game.
