How do guild players get 1800 and above star counts each week?

Trying to figure out how to get more stars each week. Anyone want to share how to do that?

    Maxed out heros/survivors with the best weapons and TONS of gold and gas boosters

    I would say it was more to do with badges than gold and weapons. I don’t spend much gold on challenge and get around 1800 most weeks. Morgan staff’s and kingdom spear certainly help though.

    I would say it's both badges and boosters/ gold... And stubborn ass psychotic obsessive compulsive behaviour.

    The more of each, the higher the total score.

    The only purchase you really need is a gas booster and Morgan's staff. And obviously max levels, good badges and weapons - all of those you can get for free if you have played long enough.

    I’d add the kingdom swift strike spear to that list too. Being able to stab through a bruiser wall is incredibly useful!

    absolutely, but that you could get for free during the spring token quest. I know I did :)

    Melee with razor weapons are key. At least one bruiser with punish/retaliate/max DR is a must.

    I just hit 1500 for the first time ever and that was without spending any money on gas. Badging correctly is the key and to become really comfortable with Melee.

    You only need booster if you have few round passes from last week's challenge. The 30gas from TG is enough to reach RSL 40.

    A managed 1100 but then had everyone of my heroes waiting to heal. Was being wiped out before I could kill 1 Walker.

    Is there a special strategy that high scorers are using. Like what works best. Maybe all bruisers or scouts or a special combination. I’m trying here!

    For the tough stuff, usually 2 well armed/well badges bruisers and a similarly equipped scout. Best of luck! JSS!

    Thanks TeamDead Many of the high scoring players either want you to join their guilds or won’t tell us anything. I played alone as I wasn’t advanced enough to join a guild, then I created the one I’m in. Have good members. But many are learning too. You have to start somewhere. Thanks again will try it.

    There are plenty of players who post high level vids to youtube if you know where to look. The top players don't keep their cards as close to their chests as people might think :smile:

    There are many more but these are just a few examples. I don't expect anyone to instantly be able to reach these sorts of levels overnight by simply watching them but you might learn a few strategies or see the types of teams that are used to give you an idea of what to work on. Hope they help.

    Thank you for sharing my vids @WellyLuga! Although I must admit that my videos are probably underwhelming relative to some of the other guys in your post.

    I will say that I have spent on weapons, but I don't really buy boosters or pay for healing. The changes to the challenge structure along with the 30 gas in the TG shop allows me to get to ~1900 every week in a FTP manner.

    I will say that finishing the Distance every week (vids for each set are on my playlist) has really with developing my badges. I would highly recommend trying to push as far as you can on the Distance on Monday and Tuesday, and resetting it if you are able to.

    Full pay to win game play. Not realistic for new and normal players.. depressing too..

    @WhereisHeath This topic is around getting to 1800* and above, which is also not realistic for new players. If you want to dismiss all of the strategies above as pay to win then that's your decision. There are things to be learned about survivors and heroes used, how to position yourself on the map, spawn blocks, attacking from an angle with a scout whilst letting bruisers take damage, whatever else. A player maxing at RSL33 isn't going to instantly get to RSL40 with a few bought weapons.

    Make what you have fit and adapt to some of the strategies that work, the spears/staffs and whatever else will certainly help you get to high levels but they aren't the only way to get there. Many players will often upload vids using gear that was found for free, myself included.

    Depends on what you call pay to win. My only bought weapons are 3 staffs 1 now 2 level lower and 1 lower level. And the swift strike spear. So about £35. I also do buy a booster on a Wednesday at £2 just don’t have a coffee that day. I can get to 2000 with a bit of work and a favourable class bonus. It’s not so much pay to win more pay to get to the top quicker. But even then you could spend 1000’s of pounds on this game but without the right strategies you’ll still fall short of the best free to play players.

    I will be checking out the videos. Still trying to top my score of 1200 last week. All my heros were healing. Just couldn’t get passed the heavys.

    @Deadkiller I dont know why i am reading so much nonsense in this forum... i do 1800. My advices:
    1. Get you a noname bruiser with at least retaliate and punish trait. Also good iron ski;. Then scrap the other bruisers. Promote him with all you can
    2. RiotGearGlenn is your best Friend. Promote him
    3. Survivor Rick. Promote him
    4. Morgan is extremely important.
    5. Survival daryl, michonne and jesus are usefu
    7. Forget every othe bruiser, warrior you can in fact forget almost all the rest.

    From 1100 Until the 1800 i only play Rick, RGG, my 2 no name bruisers, jesus (because of his superstar bonus), daryl and morgan (bruiser)

    8. Give your bruisers 3 dmg red badges to get him 80% and 3 health badges. Dmg reduction you slso can use armor, weapon and from iron skin. All my bruisers use staffs!!
    9. Give spears to the scouts. Give rick 3 dmg and 3 crit. Dmg badges. Protect him by your bruisers.

    I would like to add that in this challenge scout Daryl is really useful both in the Tank mission as well as in the Prison Cellar mission. Both those missions rely on just running past the walkers and Daryl's trait is perfect for that.

    I'm a f2p player and have a scout spear. Got it from the Winter challenge. Not sure if the wide arc bruiser weapons have ever been available like that. I haven't been around that long.

    without spending gold (resseting the distance) there was no way of getting the spear. And i got one 3-space hit bruiser weapen from the chapter storyline long time ago. hopefully with the reinforcementokens i can make it a higher in level because now, it's useless to deal damage. only usefull to stun up 3 enemies at once
