I can't get into the game at all

I'm using an iPad and my ingame name is Raven (level 72), guild Mississauga ON. The game icon has 'Loading...' underneath instead of the game name but never actually loads or gives me the startup screen. It looks like it is trying to update the game when I go to the App store, but the circular timer is frozen two thirds through. @Fluxxx can you help please pretty please? I have cleared cache and turned device completely off then back on, no luck.
