New update coming? New heroes coming?

The alt hero radio event is so brilliant and amazing that we think it will take all of our radios. And maybe, suddenly we get new bettter heroes soon? @Fluxxx

    I would say it’s almost definitely going to have a council upgrade in it. NG have said before they want to do at least 2 councils a year (they actually said 3 but there was massive backlash at that) and now with reinforcement tokens I think a lot of people will be calmer about council upgrades.

    Last few councils have been April/October/April and that seems pretty fair to me. P2P or not. At the end of the day this is a game centred around levelling up and progressing so doesn't make sense to stay at one level for more than that.

    Considering that it's end of September and we now have reinforcement tokens I'd be surprised if it didn't.

    @Reeconn we are talking about the end of September so basically 2 months. That will be 6 months from the last council upgrade! I think that’s plenty long enough.

    I just want help with grind. I wont go crazy for tomatoes to get 27s if there is not much in it. I am sort of f2p. Only spent like 120 maybe over 2 + years including Google rewards. I always stop in challenge due to gas and gold for healing. Last challenge I didnt have enough time or gas was still 3 and 2 starring at 37 and 38. Dynamic passes please. I'm saving my 20 in google rewards for update. Things have been shaky in game lately.

    With the last Council update, I did not rush to update my camp or my peeps. At this time, I am still a couple million (give or take) tomatoes away from having my final building finished (weapons shop).
    I admit to spending a fair amount of money on this game on a regular basis. With this last Council upgrade, I chose not to put money into it specifically. I have been constantly pushing upward at a hurried and frantic pace over the last few years from level 15’s. It just seemed never ending, the need to constantly catch up. I needed to be stronger and do more.
    This was my choice to just get to 26’s naturally with time. It didn’t hurt my game much. While I can’t whip out 2k in score, my 25’s can still manage a 1750 or so when I am feeling frosty. No harm no foul.

    Having said all that...
    I do lead a Guild in a good sized family of Guilds. I have watched very good and consistent players that have played for years, really struggle under the last few updates. Only now are they breaking the 1k mark in stars again. They are so happy with their progress and to be over that line once more.
    I worry another update that includes any type of Council upgrade or changes in difficulty of their Challenges will be completely discouraging to them.
    While theses are not elite scorers plunking down $50 or more a week, they are loyal players that have been around and pay for things here and there. Letting them finally hold the carrot once more and then snatching it away from them so soon, could be detrimental to not only NG’s Health, but overall Health of the Guilds.

    Well said...thanks for being much more elegant in your words than I could be! Burn out and frustration is growing, every council upgrade just pushes more people out of the game. Last council upgrade our family lost many souls and we are still fighting the burnout from grinding supplies. Just let us play and enjoy...STOP THE GRIND (and yes DYNAMIC ROUND PASSES!)

    2 Council updates a year are fine. But please stop with new heroes or Alt heroes unless you remove some of the useless heroes (most it seems). Hero token dilution is a problem in this game as it is, and I hear of no proposed fixes. I spend regularly on the game and yet I have no heroes with 3 pink stars, even after 3+ years of dedicated, hardcore play of this game. If you start introducing more heroes to this game without fixing this problem, I'll just walk away from it.

    Guild Wars was a nice feature/idea, but it was destroying the game.

    It was clearly stated several times that it will come back when it's ready.
