Most useless and boring GW i ever seen

Im done GW for 20minutes , now i need wait 6 days for next battle, if u release Beta version there should much more battles for every player to test it and find optimal number of battles! IMO im tired of this boring game and want somethink new, even if every day 20 fights per battle is not much.. seems NG stuff burned out if this all they made for that long term....

C'mon guys. Step back & take a breath. How about we give it a chance, play it through, then come to a conclusion.
There are some strategies worth exploring. And it's really stimulated forum discussion within our guild, at least, so there's that. -
Ran out of attack points and only lost once due to a plethora of level 35 Metal Head and Fattie Walkers. Had a blast regardless with Sasha armed with Festive Shotgun and Daryl armed with Devil's Torch!!!!! Can't speak for my other guild members and their success but what little I enjoyed was AWESOME!!!!

If you think it could be improved @Huricane444 thats great and give some constructive criticism, don’t be a dick about it after 1 day. I think the general consensus is that 20 attacks isn’t enough, this is why they released it on beta and have asked for feedback and have also said that things may change.
NG have clearly been working hard on this and trying to take many of the main issues people had from original guild wars and improve those. -

At least there should be more gameplay to check out what is good what is bad check difficult and other thinks ? I run 20missions for 20minutes so what next? If they they want improve player need play more to find gliches and other think! And stop liking NG pussy anyway u want satisfy them -
I just sat calmly for the first day of GW spectating. My initial thoughts is the present GW is definitely an improvement over the last one.
Yes, there are some dents which needs to be straightened out. That's why NG introduced the GW as a beta.
My first suggestion which is also being voiced by the other players is the number of attacks per GW. 20 is indeed a very low number looking at the tiers in the GW. Incase other team members are inactive, you would exhaust them in a jiffy and would achieve nothing.
Second suggestion is why restrict a players to just 2 wars. Let all the players participate in all the wars. However for points purposes, the scores of only top 5 players may be counted.
NG made us wait for GW. However, it was worth the wait.Zee Black - SG Woots - Playing since 2015.

Maybe yes, but we all waited it like big miracle and what we have ? Most of players tired of playing chalanges, and introduce this GW with 40 battles per 1 week its unnormal , i would love play again and again whole week, i dont need realy those rewards as much as i want just play somethink new in this game, at least new maps ! What is different between this GW and outpost ? Only rewards, but idea is 1 by 1 ! First u kill walkers then u kill enemy, same we have here! -

Play 20 minutes? We with "Breakings Deads" finished the first GW in 3rd place worldwide. That was several hours coordinating who is playing what ... to the back right 5-D (Lvl. 38-40) ... so we had enough to do- Ex-Leader "Breaking Deads" - -

If NG give everyone say 40 attacks, then it becomes a problem for players who cannot play that much. Although if NG gives unlimited number of attacks, it works more like short challenge maps, players can play to the best of their abilities to progress as much as they can. (and plenty of people will spend lots of gold healing in the process).
Alternatively, maybe give some mechanism for earning attacks:
1. Bonus attacks for winning map sets without injury.
2. Bonus attacks for winning maps under certain time limit (however the iOS vs Android speed issues might rise again)
3. Trade reward points for more attacks. (we already had this before in the form of red gas) -

2. Yup, iOS is still much faster - and top end devices faster than budget ones. Not ideal.
3. Again, an unfair advantage. This impacts not just the player making the sacrifice, but might cause the losing guild to miss their bonus simply because the other guild were willing to sacrifice their rewards
Overall, the 'best' thing about the new GW is that it provides a mostly level playing field. If we disrupt that simply to allow some people to get in a few more games then you might as well not have bothered with the last year of delay. -
There are 24 normal nodes and 4 bonus nodes.
You need 24*9 + 4*6 = 240 fights to clear the board.
You have 5*20 fights = 100. You are 140 fights short.
Lets give every person 1 more attack for each node cleared.
That would give 28*5 = 140 more fights. If everyone wins every fight you would clear it, and it would be so satisfying!I am collecting badge crafting results. It's okay asking for more people to play in each battle, more attacks to use, more battles for each player to play it. Please remember what happened when GW was launched, it was buggy at first but not completely broken. People complained that a 7 player minimum was too high as it was difficult to get that many people online so NG dropped it to 5, all of a sudden so many more battles start taking place and the servers begin to overload. This gives the players a bad experience problems so NG tries to smooth things over with the player base by offering 0 gas cost on missions, now every player competing can play to their hearts content and that completely overloads the servers, this spiralled to the point where they pulled the plug.
NG are very tentatively dipping their toes in the pool with this new incarnation of GW. You can see that by the way they have cut the max players to 5, limited each of those players to 20 attacks and pushed the time limit across a 22 hour window to allow it to work. Give it a chance. After the beta if NG are confident that their servers can handle it I'm sure they will add more attacks, players, battles or whatever else. Even with the current settings you can see there are teething problems with scores taking time to upload and sometimes with each player showing as zero.
@Huricane444 I know you have probably some of the strongest survivors in the game so if you played 20 missions in 20 minutes it's more than likely you played the easy RSL missions with lower rewards, designed for players who don't have elite level badges. The best strategy is to play a few missions each between your team and the best players to play the toughest missions for the biggest rewards. Most of these missions take longer than a minute. This isn't the same game mode that it used to be and should be judged accordingly. -

.... great suggestion....I really like it , although lower 50/60+ players etc. May feel like it's the weekly challenge all over with the regular big guys dominating. -
This puts strategy into it. My guild has been communicating non stop and it’s been awesome to see
Having everyone participate and unlimited attacks would be way too much. The top whales would have a huge advantage and the “little guys” would be left out.
I think NG is definitely onto something here and I’m enjoying it and sitting back for the changes. -
He showed up twice, the team never got in, and the attempts ended, this is a waste of my time. And in all games it's calling a raid, not a guildwar.

Ok so I played my first battle, and IT WAS AWESOME!
I think a lot of players with negative feelings approached this new GW exactly like the old GW, i.e. "play as fast as you can". This version of GW should be approached in exactly the opposite way. Plan, discuss, and then take on the hardest missions you think you will win. That's what we did, with the lower level players first playing the easier maps, and the top level guys starting only after that. I started at lvl 36 and finished at lvl 40, with a grueling defeat against a horde of lvl 40 walkers led by 2 spikeys. Almost every mission was intense and I definitely spent more than a couple of minutes on each, especially as I had the non-optimal Gabe in lead.
Now I totally get that top guilds filled with 1500+ scoring guys in the challenge will have the problem that someone needs to take care of those first easy maps, and that is a bummer for that guy. Not sure how that could be solved.
So I was happy with only 20 battles, as it really forces you to focus. I personally would prefer to be able to take part in more battles than get more gas (as it's much more fun to play than spectate) but I get that it's hard to find a good formula for that.

Ah yes, one suggestion. Let the battle end as soon as all players have used all their swords (keys/gas or whatever they are called). Our first 2 battles have both ended with 10 hours remaining, and it's annoying to wait that long to see if you won or not. Or alternatively show how many keys each team has remaining.Ingame username: Jubjab

Another suggestion from a guild mate that has already played was to make healing separate from the challenge similar to Distance. I know, I know NG wants us to spend gold, but this allows you to jump right back into getting more stars.

Brooooo I hate not knowing who has attacks left or not from your teammates (and then theirs obviously). If a guy has a time difference, we don’t know, no matter how much we communicate and it’s harder to strategize that way
Then don’t get me started on the waiting game and anticipation if they have attacks left and if we won or not lol. -

I guess just try to hit them all at the same time, share the load, and then keep on truckin' down and right. They'll be sweating high-30s and the 40s soon enough.

That would be nice, but it's a BIG ask in terms of coding. Two tabs in the Hospital? Another data field for every character in the entire database, to track the extra 'health state' (how it probably works in Distance, but Distance health state isn't steadily changing over time).
Maybe NG is subtly trying to encourage character depth and breadth, so that you can run challenge and war (and distance and outpost) on a nearly daily basis? -
I really enjoyed this version of GW. It solves a lot of the problems we had with the previous version, such as easing server load, making it easier for people to play when they're not all one at once, etc. I was super frustrated today just spectating instead of playing, but I am looking forward to my next battle on Saturday. Overall, I love it! I only have 2 suggestions for improvement.
- Make it so that players can play more than 20 battles. They went by so fast, and we left so much of the map undone! It feels like such a waste.
- Allow players to jump into a war on the day of the battle, if not all slots have been filled. We have 15 people in our guild right now, and that means we have some unfilled battle slots, which means that we aren't going to be able to participate in every battle. We WANT to play... but we can't play more than twice each. Maybe if the battle begins and there are still empty signup spots, it could be first-come-first-served? That way everyone has a chance to sign up for 2 battles in advance, but spots don't go to waste either. -
I wish I could actually watch the game play while spectating, so I could learn by watching my guild mates.
If that is possible, then I can't see how. When I try to spectate, all I can see is the game board. -
Not possible, but some people are posting on YouTube or your guild mates could do so.

One disappointment in this version of GW is that the PvP mission are the easiest ones, as walkers will be of low levels and the human enemies, without badges, are not hard to beat. So as soon as you start going for the hard levels, the PvP missions feel like a walk in the park.
