Just keep plugging away, it is heavily spawn dependent, luck with the boxes and praying that the walkers wander kindly but if you clear that map it's smooth sailing for the next 5 rounds until it comes up again.
Thats it. Not playing MM, so it comes back every 5 maps instead of every 5 rounds, but its pure gambling for the right setting on many maps. Quite gold consuming if you´re impatient.
And frustrating if you´re still on level 37.

Oh it definitely ain't infinite. NG shut that shit right downATLAS-Z said:> @JayZ said:

Bro I knew it would be infinite for you.
That's why I posted for the whales to throw in the towel early, grab a cold Brew and kick back.
I know they won't, but maybe they should?
I'm still having fun.. There's a reason the top players have maxed out before 4k and it's this (No shots fired by the way)...
-
Oops...the counter starts counting
-
Dude @JayZ be honest. How long did that take you to get all of that lined up perfectly lol
Right spawn, right box opening, right walker wandering, and then to top it off....fatty didn’t grab you lol -
@TWDaddiction 4 tries
I actually did it successfully my first try, BUT I did not have Daryl in the lead, and the fatty grabbed me in my dash to the exit.
Although, now I'm playing that mission again, and I'm on try number 8. Oh well, it's early. Will let my guys slowly heal and let my gas slowly regenerate.Proud member of Mavericks OG, a top 3 global GW and challenge guild.

Lol it’s one of those where it could take 1 try, or 50 tries. Truly Frustrating -
15 trys...nothing. Gold is running fast.
Its a pain in the a**, if you can´t go on with the other maps, just because you simply can´t beat this one without being a lucky bastard. -
@JayZ I really respect your effort in making videos and sharing strategies, but to say this challenge is infinity is bs.
Success on One there, One down and Big pile are only depanding on luck and big amounts of gold to find the right setting.
There is no strategy to come around with. Its try and error alongside spending gold without any boundaries. -
Big pile, yes. Others not so much, one there especially. You don't even need perfect spawns or anything like that, just a harpoon to root the tank.
To say there's no strategy and just trial and error/gold spending. That's bs. -
You can see the difference in gold between the very first mission I recorded at 39.1 (6371 gold) and the last video I recorded (6293 gold). I spent less than 100 gold total to get from RSL39 to RSL50.Superhero said:@JayZ I really respect your effort in making videos and sharing strategies, but to say this challenge is infinity is bs.

To say that this challenge required "no strategy" is so fucking asinine, and it honestly pisses me off.
How many people do you think failed Big Pile and One There before @WellyLuga shared his videos and helped people out? I copied his exact team in my video, but then I made a strategic decision to change to Daryl as my leader in Big Pile after realizing that it was easier to dash past the fatty with Daryl as a lead. Seems strategic to me.
What team would you have used on One Down if you didn't see Harpoon Sasha/flaming Hunter/stunning Rufus? Do you see how long it took me to try to figure out where I wanted to attack with Rufus? I was weighing whether to try to maximize potential charges which would need an extra attack from Impulse on a barrel that could not be used to try to set the fatty on fire. Look at the placement of my survivors in that video. I'm ready for the spawn wave. Every movement has a purpose and a lot of thinking behind it.
Same with Wrecked Cellar. Watch this video, and I can point out the strategy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qgz_n_Kgcxs&list=PLxDinRknq_Gjd15Dxu3dw7koQTgBp2Jmz&index=5
0:10 - I assess the zombie placement. Decide I don't want to try to engage yet.
0:20 - I realize that the fatty is not close enough to both exploding walkers. I root the closest one and wait for the zombies to move more favorably.
0:35 - I use up my survivor actions to not accidentally blow up a can.
0:45 - With the exploders and the fatty in good position, I finally start blowing things up.
1:05 - I count my distance and check the health to know how much it'll take to kill the fatty.
1:20 - I actually mess up and misjudge the blast radius of the can. Makes my life a hell of a lot more difficult.
1:25 - Recognizing I mess up, I use my charge attack to try to stun the walker.
1:35 - Same as above.
1:45 - Finish the map. Check health to make sure I am out of range.
Everything I do is intentional. Make one wrong move, and you're fucked. Team selection, situational awareness, and strategic movement is literally 90% of the strategy in this game. That's why I posted a long ass list of tips (linked here) about how to think about different situations AND even included videos showing those tips in action.
Okay, I've paid for radios and gear (but not remotely close to some of the other top 50 players I compete against every week), but I rarely use that much gold for healing, and I don't get boosters 90% of the time.
Posts like this are fucking disrespectful, piss me the hell off, and make me question why I bother trying to help the community.Proud member of Mavericks OG, a top 3 global GW and challenge guild.

Thats why I said, I respect your vids and your effort to help players out. To piss you off.
Sorry, but there are many different classes of players, many different personalities, and some lucky guys who are always on the sunny side of life.
I didn`t disrespect your effort at all.
I just said that these missions aren´t a endless walk in the park, like you said.
I done lots of trys on these announced missions...many of my guildmates have too.
But three out of six are just a matter of luck, patience or gold amount.
You were selling it as it is reachable for everyone, and its not.
Again, this is no attack on you, its just a critical view for your discription.
I tried 15-20 mission on the pile at level 36 and then decided to find my luck in the MM which was 42. Got 1 Star and completed the round. After that I found myself lucky to get the three most easiest MMs for three rounds.
And now I´m stuck again on a lucky bastard with lots of gold mission to get forward.
This challenge is pretty unbalanced.

Misunderstandings might come from different native languages. -
I think the main misunderstanding is the infinite challenge comment. If you go back and read it there is no word to say it was infinite to everyone.
Last week I got 3k* for the first time ever. I got over 3k* this week again and I checked the leaderboard and nearly the entire top 100 have that much. It just shows the limits of what is possible with the right strategy, a gas booster as well as some luck/gold. The videos posted are a strategy to beat the levels, but not the only one.
-
Thanks to @JayZ videos and tips i made it to 2k stars for the first time and still going. I play since Christmas 2018, and only time i spend real money is to buy the Kingdom spear. 99% of the players here must be really thankful for those tips, rather to complain. This game is 80% strategy and 20% luck. It's funny to think, that the game choose who to help, and who to f*ck up.
Big respect for all the people who help weaker players to progress!!! -
@JayZ
I watched your “One Down” vid and it was a nail biter. I was holding my breath at the end hoping you were going to get all 3 stars. You have way more fans here than critics so please keep sharing. It is very much appreciated by the overall community. -

I went from a non spender to an usual spender, actually playing in a a top 5 german guild and looking forward to push my score, to stay on the boat.
The wing below isn´t bad at all, but getting further feels better, then falling down.
And yes...I pushed my best score about 100 stars this week.
I bought a lot of essential weapons to get further. My critic was only the formulation. Not the effort, time or love that @JayZ put into it.
Only thing I wanted to say: Its not a sunday afternoon walk as mentioned in the comments on the videos he has posted.
*peace*

@ 'em
I noticed on the video after you shot the spawned nearest walker a purple circle and the word rooted came up, I've never seen that before. What was it?
Cheers -
-
I think back to the drawing board with this challenge, I'm standing on 20 round passes at 3244 stars, about 7-800 ahead of where I should be on a normal challenge.
-
That'll be why I haven't seen it I never had it lol CheersBttlOpener said:@legin
That is the harpoon weapon that was available for purchase.. -
Obviously big pile is the toughest mission in the set up to 50 (I don’t know past that, I’m not there yet). For those having trouble with it here is a better, less luck dependent method than most I’ve seen:

Thanks to Queen Bee for posting -
Is there a way of big pile 40+ lvl completion without using the harpoon gun? Thanks. My F2P challenge videos are here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAl_96Zig2NXqvGM_2Mf5Aw

@Spiked once you get to nightmare mode blow through becomes the impossible map. Don’t think anyone’s cleared it yet.
Edit: looks like wonderbas has.... I’m not sure how though! -
