It is time! This week, take part in cheering on your country in Nation Wars 5.
Nation Wars is a player-run competition that features the best of the best from each participating country. All countries were invited to take part.
Each country has put together a super guild, their 20 best players, to go head to head against the rest of the world.
Follow the global leaderboards to see the teams battle it out and show your country your support!
The flags represent the 32 nations and associations taking part in the competition from all around the world, many of them for the first time. We wish everyone success and above all - let's enjoy and have fun.

will there be some kind of official statement about the situation with the change of rules during the competition, until the situation gets out of control?

From a completely neutral point of view (one which has enjoyed following the leaderboards and seeing the changes in rankings over the course of the weekend) it would be good for all the community to understand what is going on. There seems to be unhappy players from one particular nation and several closed threads but no explanation. Surely from the perspective of transparency, all those involved and future competitions, plus people like me who considered signing up but decided against it based on the reputation of the competition following NW4, details of what has happened should be shared where possible.

This is our point of view on this situation. From the point of view of the organizers, everything goes according to the rules and the Russians are lying again. We ask for proof of our lies, but the discussion fails. Isn't it Lola? @lola_rennt

I'll try to explain, before the war of nations, the rules were published, one of which was that team members had no bans since the war of nations 4. On Wednesday, the team leaders were told that 17 people out of 9 teams had bans. The organizers offered a choice of 2 solutions - the first to ban the violating teams, as was done in the last war. the second solution is not to count the points of the impaired players, but instead take the points of any person of the same nationality. This player does not even need to be taken to the guild. Then there was a vote, and everyone, including the violating teams, voted. The result of the vote was 16: 9 in favor of the replacement (taking into account the fact that there are only 22 nations and 1 vote from one nation and at least France did not vote). The Russian national team left the games in protest. and we are trying to inform the community about this situation, but all our discussion are closed.Человек нарушает правила, а потом оправдывает себя? Based on this information, I think the organizers were in a very difficult situation. If 9 teams would have been banned, it effectively would have destroyed the whole NW and obviously a lot of players who had done nothing wrong would have been rejected from participating. Not good.
But for some strange reason, the obvious alternative, to switch out the banned players and take in a substitute, was not even an option? If that would have been done for example so that the change can only be done on Thursday at 21:00 or similar, it would have given the affected teams a suitable punishment (as the new players would start with a big time delay), everyone would be able to play, and the scoreboard would show the correct points. Now we got this half-baked compromise, which I think definitely is unfair against the non-cheating teams.
I think many of the teams (my own included) voted for the compromise simply because we wanted to battle against all teams.
EDIT: I did not participate in the voting in any way myself, the vote was done purely between the team leaders and only heard about the vote after it was decidedIngame username: Jubjab -
So glad I spent my war time on the couch eating potato chips, 😂 seems this event should be nicknamed “can’t get right” any military members know the term very well haha. “Tah, tah for now” from your neighborhood Negan.
