Jesus fucking Christ! This is the most ridiculous thread we’ve had since NG gave out 3 free bundles with hundreds of SR (?) tokens which about 200 people managed to take advantage off. People demanding all sort of shit.

As for the XP argument. You’ve used your XP on a weapon you will use and keep. If they NG had removed that one and given an non upgraded one then I would agree XP would be required in the compensation. It wasn’t though you’ve got a fully upgraded usable weapon.

I think the same offer should be made, with the same amount of gold and other items, for the same amount that was sold before, with the 2 weapons in the bundle. So everyone could buy and have the same benefit.

Or sell the corrected weapon for half the price it was sold before.

NG put out a weapon that they thought people would be interested in buying and bundled it with gold and trade goods to make it more enticing and then put it up for sale. It was discovered that the there was a bug in the code that would have been problematic to fix after the fact but could be remedied by creating a new weapon.

What NG could have done was announce that the harpoon gun was always intended to generate threat on a charge attack and that the write up should have mentioned it but didn't and be done with it. In order to keep good will, The Good Deed, they decided instead to give those who purchased the gun another one to replace the one that was sent out with a bug. They are under no obligation to "fix" the bugged version because you can't prove that wasn't the way it was intended to work in the first place.

But, sad sacks in the community, feel like they were disadvantaged and "DEMAND" a free version of the broken gun. WTF? At most what NG should do is recreate the bundle with both versions of the gun and put it up for sale in the bundle shop. Those who want to spend the money get 2 just like those who bought the broken one. BTW, this was mentioned by @TWDaddiction above. Under no circumstances does anyone deserve a free version of the broken gun.

First of all, I want to say that the discussion made me see other points that I had not yet stopped to analyze. I thank everyone for their effort when discussing this topic. On the other hand, I saw some ironic comments that I didn't like. I never used this forum with the intention of disparaging anyone and I was always open to new ideas and points of view about the game. Whenever I can I am suggesting something here that in my understanding is valid for the community. NG itself usually presents ideas that dislike the players and it's okay, no one can please everyone. I see that I was not the only one to see problems with the solution found by NG but at no time did I "REQUIRE" anything from NG or anyone. I just made a post with my point of view and "I SUGGESTED" a possible compensation for those who did not receive two weapons for the price of one. A little later, I came to the conclusion that it would be more fair to make both available in a limited time package. But note that these are only suggestions for the analysis of the NG and who else is interested in this topic. I think it's more than fair for those who spent gold and XP upgrading the old version to want XP 2x and upgrade in 5s. I understand their side and I am not making ironic comparisons about you buying a table, receiving two and still wanting the money you spent on the joiner to fix the first table that had a defect.

No I will not use it anymore if I upgraded the "fixed one". That's why I bought the weapon in first place.. so stop defending everything NG does, because THIS is ridiculous. What is the problem about asking for a stupid XP compensation that should be easy to do for them.

And second point next games could give everyone in the community Max XP and they would lose almost nothing, so every player could upgrade one or two items or one or two troops? That's hardly breaking any economy.

So people can throw stones back and forth which which does nothing but damage is a community.

Some of us who do not hang around these forums woke up yesterday to find a shiny new winter harpoon gun in our arsenal and was like wtf is this for?....I had purchased the bugged version and perhaps being a tad dense, assumed it was working as intended albeit half silent and was more than happy with it....then NG give me a another one fully silent which is upgrading as I type and which I am very grateful for apart from having to come here and read through this mind numbing thread just to confirm why I received it 🤣😆😂.

1 minute gas bud and everyone is happy and IF* anyone used reinforce tokens on the threat harpoon those should be refunded. That in the Very least is fair. Many people bought the weapon expecting it to function “as intended” or stated whatever you want to call it. We all still used it and I see no problem in NG dishing out the “proper” version to those who spend hard earned money to get it. If you didn’t get it buy it or wait til it’s in GW shop simple as that. I also don’t think anyone who DIDNT buy it get 1 for FREE, broken or otherwise. I’m sorry. That is my opinion, good day to all and see you in GW. ✌️

True, but I don't think anyone was 100% sure that what came out wasn't what they intended or whether it was a bug. I was fairly confident it was an error on NG's part but I wouldn't have bet my house on it that's for sure. So I decided to sensibly wait and instead am 2 harpoons short instead of 1.

me too. but if NG give all of us 24h gas boost or/and 5s exp upgrade for their error, will some players complain that we (who didnt buy) dont deserve them?

We won't be sending Full XP out, but we're going to run Double XP for kills along with 5-sec equipment upgrade this weekend. This solution might not make everyone happy, but keep in mind that the "half-silent" Winter Harpoon gun is still a powerful weapon that has a decent edge over the regular Harpoon gun, so it is a significant perk.

The half-silent Winter Harpoon will also be taken out of circulation, as it was unintended, and it would get quite confusing for a lot of players which is which.

Thx Flux much appreciated ! Can you check on my post about guild war scoring this am also my save defenders button isn’t working isn’t even lit closed down tablet didn’t solve problem ? Not sure this is how send message not tech savvy. Trial & error for me so if did this wrong can someone explain how you message in this forum?
