@Steeboon, if you kill a marked walker, anorher will be marked at the beginning of next turn. I think #2 is yes, i dont think there is a distance limit or line of site consideration.
-
#2 is yes:"There's not distance threshold to his trait - if the closest enemy is 20 spaces away, they will still get marked."
-
Can you please release the new Challenge maps during a Guild War mid season-break or season break, so that we can enjoy the new maps without having the double burden? I’m sure many will be grateful.

Gothgul said:"If there are multiple enemies at equal distance to Negan, then marking will be random"
With Negan not leading, and only marking 1 walker, unless you can position very specifically so that only the main target is either N(orth), S(outh), E(ast), or W(est) of him with no other walkers in those positions, then the marked walker can change every turn. This totally negates the purpose of Negan's LT. Let's say you target a spiked walker to the S. of Negan, with no other walkers at E, W, N. Then next turn normal walkers move into the E and W spots, and a normal walker randomly picks up the mark. How is this reliable?
Definitely valid points. We'll discuss this, as it's also been mentioned by some others ( @ATLAS-Z comes to mind). One potential issue with making Negan mark on the end of his turn, is that newly spawned walkers will never be marked, and situations where newly spawned walkers end up being closer and more of an immediate threat are very common.
-
@Fluxxx will any consideration be made to increasing the amount of walkers that get marked?
As noted above, it can be tricky trying to use Negan if he can only mark one enemy. Perhaps Negan can mark the two enemies closest to him? As a leader the two closest to him, and the one closest to each other survivor for a total of four? -
@Fluxxx
What are the prospects of creating a "mark" button for Negan to give us more control over it or making special walkers (if present) a priority in his marking?
Edit: mark button could allow us to mark any 1 or 3 closest walkers. This mark stays on until walker is killed or mark is switched.Leader of the original TWD guild family (est. 10/2015). We Are TWD 😎

I also mentioned the manual marking option, when @Fluxxx first discussed with us they were going to Rework Negan.
If I recall, he implied that it would be a lot more tricky to implement, as well as tricky for players to learn.
I can't speak to coding challenges, but from player standpoint, manual marking would be a whole lot less confusing than what we have now.
I was very excited for Negan, but I'm starting to think this revamp was a "Swing and a miss"

Agree, it needs more control to be useful, otherwise all that great work but still no one will use him because random is not reliable..so close...batter up!
Random is fine with some traits, but this trait can't rely on random. -

Joke aside, marking 3 enemies manually at every start of your turn seems complicated to me. It also takes time to do it yourself 3 times each turn (or less but still, doing it manually takes time). Some of us may say it does not matter how long it takes as long as I can choose which walkers I want to mark. But if you somehow mark the wrong walker because of slipping fingers then what, you want NG to give you the confirm box says: Are you sure those are the walkers you want to mark? Or what if there is only 1 walker left and it is next to you but you can't mark it because it's hidden behind the wall, what now? Can you end the turn without marking any walker manually?
At early level, Negan's LT is very powerful, but at high level when you are swarmed by oceans of walkers, it's not working anymore. The value of the trait is at its best when you take hits from the one you want to be marked and most often, it is a special walker. One simple tweak is to prioritize special walkers with order: spiked, tank, goo, fast, armored and so on. But still, it doesn't really help when surrounded by normal walkers. Maybe, just maybe, besides marking the nearest one, automatically mark special walkers within 2-tile space -
I was about to make the same suggestion, I think priority should be given to marking special walkers. Part of the strength is preventing stun and bleeding and the special walkers are often the ones you target first since they do the most damage. Having them marked above all others would be much better than pure randomness.
-
Default could be random, with manual override IF you want to (priority for specials would be nice). Then if you don't care who is marked, do nothing. Heck as leader, you may not even see 3 walkers at the start, so you'd need some sort of auto-marking to occur, or be OK with < 3 marked.
I'd settle for manually marking 1 priority walker, which would be as leader or support. If in lead, the other 2 could be automatic following "nearest" and "priority" assignment. And again, the manual marking is optional, you never have to do anything if you are cool with random. Long press on the walker to mark/unmark? -
Manual making wouldn't have to be exclusively manual.
It could stay like it is now, enemies auto marked at end of their turn, but then have option that players COULD manually change the marks to preferred targets.
The manual mark would remain until the end of the next walker turn, at which point new targets are auto chosen again. Etc etc.
This way players that WANT to tediously mark can, and those who don't, won't need to.

Anybody else think Negan's LT would be better if instead of increasing total damage it gave a chance of gaining a charge point when attacking a marked enemy?
Just throwing it out there since we are discussing improvements @Fluxxx -
Ok so here is my full idea for Negan's LT based on my suggestions above:
At the beginning of each turn, Negan marks the closest enemy and the closest special walker for 1 turn. The marked enemies deal X% less damage to your survivors and cannot inflict status effects. When attacking a marked enemy your survivor has a Y% chance to gain a charge point.
As a leader Negan marks the 3 closest enemies and the closest special walker.
Note: the closest enemies can include additional special walkers.
Gaining charge points will work just like Sasha's/Princess LT so if you attack multiple marked enemies you can gain multiple charge points. -
@Fluxxx
Together with increase in damage of melee heroes, we also observe increase in attack of zombies.
Bodyshot damage by zombies has increased by 57%, normal damage- by 10-15%, critical - by 10%.
Overall, that seriously nerfs bruisers class. My Eugene usually survives the attack of 50lvl zombie, now he goes to the dance from one-hit of 46 lvl zomby.
Don't you think that such changes are too global? -
I think there was an error in the game code. This error needs to be corrected urgently. This was not mentioned in the news.
-
@Fluxxxdon't you and your team think it's necessary to somehow inform us about such huge changes in game balance?!Why do we receive information about changes in the game balance not from the release notes and/or from your videos on youtube but from our own experience?!

Can’t say i’ve noticed, my bruisers are on form this week. Which is a shame as I’m hardly using them 😂

@Fluxxx @zbot Same here.
My first GW battle of this week today - Eugene is getting mauled with 15k-25k crits from lvl 45 reg walkers every other hit. Even with the same HS, max DR, optimized dodge, luck... see screenshots. Bodyshots around 5-6k instead of usual 2-3k. I have to pop medkits like m&m's where I don't usually use them at all. Pretty unpleasant experience I tell you.

Her leader trait is there is a 50% chance that some little kid wanders onto the map to attract walkers

@Fluxxx did you NERF the bruisers after the last update? I’ve this filling cuz I used them for the first time in the GW yesterday few times I got hits 2 or 3 and getting my health on red 🙁 never happened before.
-
@ATLAS-Zhave any chance of making her playable in THE WALKING DEAD NO MANS LAND?
-
We may look into some options to address Negan's arbitrary marking in the future. but manual marking is unlikely to happen, as some have pointed out - it would be cumbersome for players to have to mark at the beginning of every turn, and having a setting toggle specifically for Negan is out of the question for us.
@FuriousMoldovan @chel_sds @fragcandance @AlexKom
We looked into this and tested it out, but didn't find any changes between the old 3.15 version and the current one. Outside of this thread, we also haven't received any other reports of this. Does this happen to you consistently? -
