As with most acts of defiance there is often a good message behind it. There is a problem with GW. We all know it. The problem I have with these means is that a lot of people are gonna screwed in the process. Not just the now but give it a few days and there will be a multitude of guilds doing this further breaking the mode and discouraging players from this game. NG made the changes to tiers to discourage mismatches but that is exactly what is going to happen now.

come on, WW score 12k per battle playing by 10, they can score that playing by 8 if want :)
they do only one mistake, call that new guilds WW, should call it ToolCrap or StopToolMadness or so name :)

I still don’t understand this logic. Why not just stay where you were and not use tools and take the losses by tool using guilds?

Coz nobody would notice anything. There would be just silent. Nothing else. As it is now, peeps will point at these guilds, talk about them. Blame and hate them. It pulls the attention. And its working :)
Exactly, one way to get people talking. Poking holes in a broken system. Not spending tools would go unnoticed, people would just say 'oh I guess they're just taking it easy'. A total boycott of the game mode would gain us nothing, both in rewards and getting a message across. I wonder if NG will address this loophole as actively as they addressed level 13 survivors with flat damage badges...

Why did you cover the names? I want to see who that is!
My intent was not to have one single group thrown under the bus.  Since your guild is using the exploit, how about showing some of your results?

In other games the is a concept of "leagues". Guilds move between leagues based on how successful they are in the previous season. Rewards are based on your current league level. This will create separation between guilds of different level and will give a reason for top guilds to fight to stay in higher league.

It's really moving seeing everyone suddenly care for the little guilds :D

All this heartfelt sympathy brings a tear to my eye.

Great Suggestion.  New guilds are often in a bottom league with no (or fewer) rewards available until they play a cycle.

Please show who you played against don't hide like that.
Because it's not WW or any other guild who started from 0 for sure. We play without tools and  WW guilds (5 of them) played around 50% of our matches against Bot called "Merle",
501 points and end of story.

Whole system is broken and with reset we aren't destroying game or ruin experience to any "small" guilds out there. Big guilds who didn't reset have many more miss-matches in 1st week then us.
In fact when we reset again during season we will again play against bots even more and just take easy rewards.

In fact i don't care what anyone think. I am 5 years in this game and situation is worse then ever when comes to difference between players who pay and who doesn't.I know very well what is needed to 'win" the season and right now i would rather be guy who everyone hate for abusing the system than someone who win "by the rules".

You forge your own fate in this game. You can be
*rich guild who dicate the tempo and costs,
*Poor guild of peasants who accept whatever is told and let be destroyed because you don't know any better,
*Or a revolutionary who want to change the rules and show what is broken

I know which path i have choosen, DO YOU?

Finally, I got the answer why we met "experts" at bronze 3.
Frankly, we are small guild but fight hard & fair.  I feel exhausted when Gold 2 tier increase rapidly at recently "improvement".
YES, the game is broken.  no motivation to upgrade my heroes nor council.

this really strange because tier reset not work at all
we started season with 350 guilds in matchmaking list and beat "lower" guilds all week and will be beat half next week

also I'm wana bring your attention on one bad thing
after NG made this shit reset we actually have two rating system
    1. That on GW Online Leaderboard (not included tier reset)
    2. Real rating that we all see after fight ends and this rating write down into guild menu call Current Season GW Rating

I'm use 2 rating in my spreadsheet and all final standings will be by this rating

Make no mistake, this was a dick move by elitists to not only screw the little guy but also to fuel their insignificant ego's, Instead of discussing this in various open social media platforms, they chose to do this as stealthily as possible.
I agree they could have been using more imaginative guild names to highlight their protest if this was indeed their sole cause, If they really wanted to protest the whole community could have come together to do something collectively.
NG will never limit tool use, they will never fix every bug. I do take my hat off to those who found another loophole for personal(guild) gains, but it really goes against the moral ethics of the game.
in the end the newcomers to this game and lower lvl players etc  won't continue and with natural attrition this game will die sooner.
In the end NG wont care about your chosen poor way to protest.
The arrogant guilds in question wont care about screwing the little guy.
the guys who do care however are those who  don't for whatever reason have the money to play at a higher lvl, who look forward to a good fair battle, and  maybe with some luck the can get some wins and get some hard earned gear or weapons so that they can progress in the game.
and yes I do expect some backlash from this post by the arrogant egotistic Narcissists.

I guess "history of guild wars season 9" thread won't be full of screenshots from 1st week like usual since little hypocrites who claim making new guild is destroying other small guilds, can't show their battles so everyone can see they are doing exactly the same ( play and win against small guilds with huge margins)

It's really laughable try to point fingers and blame while you are also trying to avoid big fights with skipping Tuesday and Wednesday @capibara @Serp @TeenahGee

But i guess "stranger" , "Gk Crew C" and whoever other 2 guilds are, were "worthy" opponents while what we do is very wrong ;)

Sooner you accept that whole system is broken and need serious changes, sooner we might get it fixed. I am not running away from what i did, i take full responsibility and i am the one who gave orders to make new guilds , but i won't let you do false claims that "small guilds suffer" from our actions. However, i am glad it is getting attention so our real reasons can be known.

As long as this game mode is not an equal playing field where pure skill and dedication are rewarded, i will keep searching for loopholes and do whatever it takes to profit. After all that's what we all do, someone just do it better then you and is hard to accept

      • People are only valued only to the extent they are viewed as beneficial
    4. Lack of empathy
      • Severely limited or totally lacking ability to care about the emotional needs or experiences of others, even loved ones
    5. Identity disturbance
      • Sense of self is highly superficial, extremely rigid, and often fragile
      • Self-stability depends on maintaining the view that one is exceptional
      • Grandiose sense of self is easily threatened
      • Patients retreat from or deny realities that challenge grandiosity
    6. Difficulty with attachment and dependency
      • Relies on feedback from the environment
      • Relationships only exist to shore up positive self-image
      • Interactions are superficial
      • Intimacy is avoided
    7. Chronic feelings of emptiness and boredom
      • When attention and praise are not available, patients feel empty, bored, depressed, or restless
    8. Vulnerability to life transitions
      • Difficulty maintaining reality-based personal and professional goals over time
      • Compromises required by school, jobs, and relationships may feel unbearable
      • Young adults may have a “failure to launch”
    9. Narcissistic personality disorder is also a significant risk factor for suicide and suicidal attempts                          I am here if you need to talk about no 9 buddy

The hypocrisy in this thread is staggering.

If you care so much about "the little guy" then, right after commenting in this thread you should start a new one where you ask for the old GW map to be put back.

Because nothing - not a thing - has hurt small guilds in GW more than the new GW map.

Before, a well coördinated small guild could make the lives of much bigger guilds very difficult indeed by using their one or two big(ger) hitters effectively.

Now there is no chance of that - zero, zich, nada, riens - happening. You need 5-6-7 of them as a minimum, armed with a shitload of tools.

So where were you, oh great defenders of the small guillds, when they really needed you?

Fact is several big guilds (and NG) didn't want GW to be too competitive for the small and middle guilds and asked for the new map with more high difficulties so the chance of an upset could be removed from the game entirely.

So go start that thread, asking for the map to be reset to the previous one, what are you waiting for?

If not this just looks like a lynching party to me where the little guy or girl is abused to create sympathy for the ones getting out the tar and feathers.

I'm not commenting on right or wrong and i have no affiliation with WW or any of the others that created a new guild - just to get your facts straight in case you want to be pointing your fingers at me now - but stop using the "little guy"-argument to try and take some sort of moral high ground unless you are willing to back those statements up in something other than a bashing thread.

Yes it has hurt the little guy, but its an even playing field.
the "little guy" can live with that, what we are talking about here is a loophole being exploited and the excuse for said loophole being used is  absolute Bullshit.
everyone knows the old map wont come back, (which I preferred) but the new map does have its advantages also.
If you feel so strongly about it then feel free to start a new post yourself

I don't want to get into the whole match-making and new guild stuff, but I've been on the record in chats with NG stating that this new map had too many high difficulty sectors AND arguing against the "soft reset" which has led to this current discussion. I thought everyone should be on equal footing at the beginning of the season. Newer teams might have 1-2 mismatches, but things eventually even out.

My guild is one of those that does benefit from the larger and more difficult map by having a deeper bench, but we feel the same pressure with tools as everyone else (recently had to adjust our battle plans to stop playing sectors 19-20 every battle). We have some heavy spenders, some F2P players, and others that use all of their tools in the challenge.

Not claiming that I am a "defender of the little guys" or anything, but please don't lump all players from all big guilds into the same group. Big guilds approach the game in different ways, and within big guilds, people have differing points of view too.

By the way, with your post, I hope you won't support a tool cap, because that would disadvantage the "little guys" even more. Imagine if you are a small guild with 1-2 heavy hitters, but they can't play the levels they want to play because they are artificially constrained by a tool cap.

I don't quite buy this comment. It's not that one team in battle is having the new GW map and the other is still having the old map. Both teams have the same map (even the exact same missions) so there is no impact as such when teams of equal strength are fighting each other.

For sure there are some traps where it's easy to fall in, like playing island 1 instead of bonus sectors (points/attack ratio) or doing accidentally missions in D sector when purpose was doing only ABC. But similar traps were there in previous map layout as well and again it applies both teams.
