Are we still using Eugene?

in General No Man's Land Discussion
First he was a steaming pile of 🦠, then he was the best thing since sliced bread, then as soon as I got him to the promised land of level 7 Mullet Time, the game seemed to shift away from him. Now it’s all SPY and Beta. I guess he’s still the best bruiser, but is it safe to say he’s not as much a priority as he was a year ago?

    It’s just a common phrase that’s used to say (yes), not sure if other countries say it. But I’ve heard it heaps.

    Ah this is just not true. Yes it is the strongest team by far but there are many maps where Beta, Eugene and scout are the strongest team. Some maps can be done by prowling and reducing the threat with HDaryl/SRick/Eugene. We have GW too and whilst SPY is incredibly strong for that it can be a little risky since you have no margin for error in terms of taking hits so Sasha, Eugene and RGG is a safer option. Are you going to do a human map with SPY? Eugene is helpful there too. What about playing this game and using a different strategy that is different and maybe more fun?

    If the title of this thread was 'are we still using Eugene at RSL54 and nightmare in the challenge' then I would maybe say you are right but there is more to the game than that.
