Anyone else done an Outpost mission and just confused what on earth was going on with the enemies? It used to be quick and simple to tell if they were stunned and bleeding. Actually it was harder to even figure out what happened to my own team.

I'm a fan of Borderlands which is known to have excessive visuals. But thankfully it has the Less Dumb Visuals mod.If only we could do the same.

Without being disrespectful of your time and effort NG workers, I agree with @Busta when said:"We need less stuff on the screen not more."I think the intention was to make things clearer, but turned out to be the opposite...
More specifically:Duplicates:• Don't need a "Charged" or "Fully Charged" icon to tell me what I can see on the survivor status bar on the left.• Don't need to see "Attracted Walkers" with the threat bar on the bottom.• Don't need to see leader traits if I can read them beforehand.• Enemies set on fire speak for themselves.• Maybe is a good Idea to see traits like Dodge, or Lucky, but every single one of them turns out to be confusing, specially when again, we have both the name of the trait and the icon. The Icon only should be enough.Confusing or Slower:• The old stunned animation was pretty clear with the turn number icon, now it comes and goes and you have to wait to see what is what... -
I hope they reverse this mess. The new icons are more than just annoying they actually increase the time needed for each mission bc you have to wait for all the status icons to cycle through so that you can tell how many turns a walker is stunned.Ü30 Deutschland

I suggest bringing back the old naming system as I cannot play with the new system. The new naming system is very bad. Developers can fix this problem by consulting the players on this forum before starting new code. Otherwise, we will soon lose all players, and new players do not come to our game.

I didn't think this was a big deal at first. I wasn't a fan but it wasn't bothersome. Then I stunned a big group, and like JLC said, it is really annoying trying to look at how many turns all those walkers are stunned.Not good. I also vote for a repeal of this part of the update.

in my opinion, some of the status effect icons are not necessary because it's obvious just by looking at the screen. e.g.
Burning - its on fire
Herding - dotted lines towards the herder
Interacting - bending and meddling with something
Reloading - cant shoot/slash during the turn even if you try
Lured - moving towards a point
Strugging - sumo with walkers
Stunning - 3 stars going round and round
these remove more than half of the total icons. bleeding, crippling, camo, marked and rooted are required imo
trait notification is not needed too -
The new status effects visuals make this game almost unplayable. And with what you did to scouts with spears, it is unplayable. To my knowledge, no one was complaining that the old way of showing statuses was broken, so why "fix" it? This game has plenty of areas that do need fixing, yet NG ignores those and chooses to "fix" something that wasn't broken? Who is in charge of this kind of decision making? Send them on permanent vacation.

Tap Tap….. Gone again and just the mission. -

Ok, so the only statuses which can overlap are those which affect health, i.e bleeding and burning. The others all affect movement. Stunned, crippled, rooted etc. The movement ones can't stack so, where the status is at the moment are have a solid effect that doesn't disappear and just below that have the health affects which cycle through, they aren't as important to know and are usually pretty obvious just from looking at the enemy. That way the bit your interested in and need to know instantly such as stunned or rooted are visible all the time. Also stunned has to be one of the most common effects, can this has a colour (like bleeding does) to make it even more obvious and increase the font of the x1x2. I think that would solve a lot of the problems without wasting all the development time that went into this.

1. The development with the new effects was useless from the beginning.There were more pressing issues like GW fixing.
2.Trying to fix something that is 100% terrible wont fix the issue of display.
3.Bring back the old interface is the only solution.
4.Challege, Last Stand , Distance can be replayed multiple times, but 1 mistake in GW because of this new look won t be possible.
5. It s more and more obvious the update of effects was made by people who don t play the game and have no clue how the game is supposed to be played.Or at best they are casual.
@Lexia, @Fluxxx even if the new interface is cute to look at, it s terrible confusing when we play the game.

1. Not only the icons are broken.
2. Running scouts with two-handed weapons is a bad joke. Beta with the two-handed Morning Star runs normally. So why is scout running so broken?3. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the appearance of buttons and other areas in the game itself. The buttons are sometimes more rounded, sometimes less. Subtitles are not centered. The gaps on the left and right sides of some boxes are different. Seriously? Who designed it? Some kid with no idea of UX? Shame.4. There were also voices that it is now harder to kill lower levels, while before the update you could easily kill higher ones. Same for stuning. It's harder to stun zombies at low levels. Can anyone confirm this?Does NG want to disgust players from playing SPY team? Character attack and defense also weakened? I understand NG has to make money, but at this point you pissed off a lot of players who left a lot of money in the game.
Show respect for the players and as soon as possible release a patch that will fix what was broken and discourage players. -

in my opinion, instead of spending development time on the needless trait and notification icons, at least they could have made the tab 'End turn', the red popup 'WALKERS TURN' and the white popup 'YOUR TURN' smaller. a few times i too accidentally pressed on the 'End turn'.
why need all 3 of them to be that big? are they saying we can't see? the only thing we can't see is the subtle motion of walkers in the dark especially in Sanctuary mission in GW because...they are being BLOCKED by the tab and popups

Lesson two : ng seems to provide a full walkthrough on how to make a kick-ass game to an unsuccessful one.

It's definitely harder to see which enemies are stunned/crippled/rooted making gameplay more difficult.
It's pretty to see which effects took place (lucky, etc) but it's more important to the know the state of the enemy

This update forced me to sign up for this forum. After enjoying the game for about two years this update drops and it's... terrible.
The new status indicators and just horrible. As far as I know there was nothing wrong with the old system. I've never heard any complaints. No it's almost impossible to get an overview of the stun status (which is crucial) I there's a second (or more) status.
Admittedly, my first impression was that this looks pretty cool, but then reality hit when the statuses piled up.
And why are several menus suddenly so small?
I would scrap this entire update, perhaps with the exception of the addition of cripple winter bow and CE to the BM. There's simply nothing in this update that improves the game. Focus on what makes the game worthwhile: Guild wars and challenge. Especially GW needs some love. Get us out of GW beta and stop messing around!
This game deserves better! -

Not to beat a dead horse, but I feel it's important to give feedback. The sheer amount and consistency of the feedback, with which I agree 100%, should be sending a clear message to NG. Before update I knew exactly who was stunned, who was on fire, who was rooted, and who was crippled, and life was good. Nothing there was broken, and no one was asking for it to be changed. Now, I can't tell what the hell is going on without painstakingly analyzing the screen. It's made playing much less enjoyable.
