Is the Ornate Bident supposed to make Follow Through obsolete, for SR at least?

Do you have Follow Through on your SR? I mean the trait of the Ornate Bident is better than Follow Through as such, but Follow Through itself makes sense only on regular scouts, in my humble opinion.
