Star Hero in challenges is the worst thing you did this year .You are just forcing ppl to use character, that might be not suited to the challenge at all.And if it's your attempt to make ppl play smth else than SPY well there are other ways to do it. Though i won't say I'm disappointed as pretty much every update in this year was either garbage or utter garbage.

NG has come up with worst ideas but I think this one is not one of them. We can use our creative thinking of making the characters useful in our quest of getting additional stars. Further, this concept was also used in the past (without the additional star).

I think it's a good idea to add Star hero, people will have to think on how they can create a succesful team, other than SPY... and some people will discover the powerfullness of alternative hero.

Anything that stops people using SPY is a good thing. It’s ruined the game imo so anything as an alternate is for the better.

@Noiserating assuming they have this specific hero good enough to use her\him in challenge.In my case it'd be just forcing me to spend gold to heal that "star" i bet. Also lets say you have mission, where ranged are better (like there're burning walkers) and Star is Jesus-you are either crippled by wrong leader or won't get 4th star. Dumb idea-removing SPY is simple-change Sasha's leader trait.

It's a good solution to ease the current SMY dominance.
If you don't like the idea, or don't want challenge yourself just take the regular teams, play the challenge as it is now. problem solved. -
I also think this is a good idea. Now obviously there's the huge issue that if you want to max the challenge with 4 stars in all missions it will eat a boatload of gold and tools, and even then it might not be doable. But that's the whole point of this thing. Now we have hundreds of players getting full score in the challenge, and with the star hero approach we should get back to the situation where there is only one winner every week (unless the star hero is Sasha).
You just have to mentally adjust to the new reality that getting max score every week is not sustainable. But it will still be just as easy as before to get that same 4878 score, and as long as NG doesn't nerf the rewards everything should be ok. You say that we are forced to use the star hero, but we aren't. If you want to get to the top of the leaderboard, then yes, it will require much more effort than before, but that's how it should be.Ingame username: Jubjab -
Nerfing heroes is a big no-no in F2P games like these. Many people paid serious money to get their Sasha, Princess and Mercer to where they are, and suddenly making the unicorn heroes crap would not be taken lightly. It's like selling you a Ferrari and then after 6 months say "oh, it was just temporary, we'll change this to a Lada now". @kmr i want but i don't see reason why I should be FORCED to use some specific character-this is just idiotic to make me choose either to use char that i don't want\can't use or get less stars. Also i don't play the broken teams for few reasons. And like i said-there are better ways to get rid of such team-simply change their traits. Tho imo Mercer is another "brilliant" idea-this guy is some junk character that appeared in few episodes, really really bad ones to boot. Where are Andrea, Herschel, Tyreese and so on?

Don’t change Sasha’s leadertrait you change yumikos. Change it so that you get a chance (high chance!) of 1 charge point from hitting a walker from firing squad and don’t allow Sasha or princesses leader trait to take affect during firing squad. Problem solved and allows for many more team combinations and allows for yumiko to be leader in more situations. Star hero may make it harder to score max, but not allowing people to use SPY/SMY would make it soooooo much harder to even 3 star some maps. Either you want a challenge or you don’t.I like the idea of star hero BTW. Will hopefully see some variation on the leaderboard again. -
@Bazyl You will have the same amount of stars as today. You will have more if you use the star hero as leader. Just find your amount of efforts you want to put in. I'm sure star heros will be easily use in the first few rounds.
You are not forced at all, this is just an opportunity to gain extra stars for your additional efforts. -
There's very little point replying to these type of threads, you're unlikely to change the way the OP feels. There is no forced, you choose to use the star hero or not. It's not like you can't play any further without. End of discussion. This should help...

We get it ,you only want to play with your fav character and never change them,but thats not hapenning a Random Event ITS that Random ,nobody forces you to use that Star Hero and making it in a way YOU are happy its no fair for lots of people,try being less negative with that "Everything they do is garbage" Attitude is 0% Constructive -

Huge, biggly NO to nerfing Sasha's or Yumiko's or anyone else's LT.
Improving or adding to any hero's LT (like with every rebuffed hero in the past) - sure, it's welcome.
Nerfing - XXXL sized NO.

Strong and skilled players welcome the added challenge, and building up your roster is part of that challenge.
I know myself and I'll build my troops up to unicorn, those that aren't there already, and who knows... Maybe I'll take shot at the Leaderboard here and there.
The main thing that prevents me from getting on the leaderboard won't be star hero, or gold, or tools or anything else like that. What will prevent me is round passes. On rare occasions Ive had time to devote to crushing the challenge I've been successful every time, but almost never do I have time 2 weeks in a row. This is unlikely to change so I'll unlikely show up on the global boards.

Don’t you get bored of playing the same team over and over and have a LB littered with Ties?More advanced players want the challenge and are sick of the same old stuff.Instead of whining about having to use different teams, grow a pair and strategise with whatever team they throw at you. Look forward to the Challenge of it.I use to enjoy watching videos and seeing what teams people come up with. But now I don’t waste my energy, because I can assume 99% of the time who the Toons are.Star Hero is a great thing. Breaks the monotony

Would you believe if I say i almost don't use spy. Right now my favorite team is SRick Sasha glen.
This idea will stop a little the problem with the ranking. The ones can't get the 4 will have a different score.
Who will get the real #1 let's see. The one i know won't be is me jajaja -
You can STILL use the characters you want to use. NG isn't forcing people to use different team compositions. Don't care about reaching round 80?
