As someone who started when this game was released, we seem to be stuck on a tract we desperately need to get off in order to breath life into this game.
WHATS WRONG
We have to rely on stupidly over leveled zombies that can swallow grenades, rockets and 15 bullets to the head.
We force folks to play 20 levels above their heros levels to be competitive, which means all of your resources even as a P2W player are dumped into 3 heroes (pink stars). This effectively eliminates the fun aspect of other heroes because I cannot utilize them competitively when pursing points. This results in stale gameplay and tired mechanics.
In our Guild we discussed the new attempt to force players to use all heroes... But you simply as a new or moderate player use them past a certain point.
OPINIONS TO ADD VARIETY AND FUN COMMON WITH OTHER GATCHA IN NO SPECIFIC ORDER
Allow users to recall applied exp to distribute to a new hero.
Hero of the week matches highest star level for that class +1 for duration.
Free N# badge respecs each week (to support a to from to hero of week)
Make heroes more fun with equipable traits such as 'Attack 3 walkers consecutively, X% chance to stun on last hit' or 'Each successful attack charges guaranteed Dodge meter, at 3 hits next walker attack guaranteed to miss.
Class tokens,.similar to radio calls, but level up attributes of class such as 1% bonus to Hunter damage.
Specializations, bonuses to types of builds.
Give all heroes equipment and allow us to toggle a hero for melee or range. Certain heroes may have larger multipliers for specializations like range or stuns, etc. This would allow mechanics like ammo, to limit ranged attacks and force melee conflicts.
Lean into other walker mechanics with these changes that lowers levels but increases zombie counts.
Map modifiers, explosions (rocket, decimator) call double the walkers, or have N% to call stun immune walker.

Rather than forcing us to fight God like walkers, which melee fairing poorly, we can use tokens or pulls to level traits. Some traits work with a class's, others are unique to the hero.
Ultimately every Gatcha game reaches ceilings, and I feel ours. I love melee and variety, I just don't want to feel like I have to rely on stun heros and 20m maps to max out rankings.

That’s why you see so many great players departed and departing.This game has hit its ceiling and now providing more ways to make things easier and new.Unfortunately it has leaned the way it has, many like it but it is what it is.All good things come to an end. For a mobile game they should be proud to having sustained 6 years already. But IMO they are just milking the cow until it’s dry.That’s fine. As I said, this game has had a great tenure! I’ve appreciated many years (my bank account doesn’t appreciate it haha)
Some will disagree with me but the long time players will understand. 2 More battles in GW and I’m done ✅. -

I don't disagree on 6 years that's rare. Sorry to hear your going.. I came back a few months ago after a 2 year break. So it's still a little fresh and there is enough passion to throw out ideas that actually work. The current strategy of tossing mechanics in doesn't consider newer players or the fact that they aren't competitive when your forced to fight lvl 45+.

If you ask me what‘s the direction of this game: it took a wrong turn as Yumiko was introduced. Playing my melee-team is fun as before, but completely ineffective compared to one of the boring, but highly effective SPY variants. Feels like a bicycle race competition where you are the only one riding a bicycle and all others use motorcycles. @Lexia This needs to be fixed, otherwise it will kill the game.Ingame Username: el presidente

What the star hero really means is that there will be no more ties atop the leaderboard and everyone can live happily ever after in 5358 bliss. 😷
So there I was mining off the coast of Kentucky in my minecart with all my tools, you know: grenades, flares, flash bangs, stinky guts, medkits, (who needs those right) and the ol pickaxe ⛏️
