I'm joining the list, I feel the game has gotten worse since the introduction of tools and I'm not enjoying it lately.

Sorry to hear that @Danski_46. Not in a stalking way but I’ve been using you as my competition on the UK top 50 all time scorers list and I always look to see how you’ve got on. Level 75.
Start date; October, 2015. (Android)
Was in a few clans, most notably AntiWalkers.
Mostly played by myself though and got to level 74 on my own and spent less than sixty bucks since I first started playing.
This week long gas booster was a big turn off. Thanks, but no thanks. I spent enough time in the game as it was. It's not fun anymore. Now you need a math degree to figure out all of the badges and whatnot. The Bloated Dead. I miss the days when all you needed to do was blast, slash or stab your way thru to glory. Miss the deadly missions also. Hate the tools(These are cheats in my opinion.). Hate badges. The game just stresses me out now and feels like a job.
Once upon a time it was people with skill that ranked highest. Now all you need is money to burn and you can get nearly any score by using the tools and outrank actual skilled players by buying massive amounts of tools. I never used tools.
I permanently deleted my NML game account today and will never be back to the forum or the game. I'm done with this game. Regards to all.

like all mobile games, players come and go. many reasons to stay or leave. but its nice to leave a note if you are somebody well known once upon a time and decided to call it a day...salute to you for staying this long

The game started out as a very basic farming collecting and leveling platform, with a very basic kill some zombies along the way.
That could never continue indefinitely.
So the game evolved... Again and again.
From day one it was pay to win, and it's still pay to win. Yes there were highs and lows in this... most notably when there were lows was when I most thought the game was in big trouble of dying. Ptw keeps the game alive. Period.
Everyone reaches the point when they had enough, or they just get bored, or they just don't have the time to play the way they want to and they get burnt out.
To those who leave with grace and goodwill I salute you and wish you a happy hunting in life outside NML.
Meanwhile, I got me some zombies to kill.

I almost quit twice. Changed guilds instead. Play how you want to play and find a group that will accommodate or appreciate what you bring to the table. I’d probably quit, too, if I felt massive tool use was an expectation.

Haven't logged in for a few days. I'm still struggling a little bit with addiction but the game has pushed me away consistently in the last updates, with all the new modes, p2w stuff and 24/7 demand.
I also miss the people, specially Mavericks family.

As many of you know, I'll be stepping down in the game soon.
Last week was my last week of making videos. This week will be my last playing the challenge competitively. After this, I'll be moving on to a retirement guild to play casually with some old friends in the game.
I'll miss this community a lot. There are too many players to name, so I won't, but instead, I'll just give shout-outs to my three guilds in this game:- Morbid Sinners was my first ever real guild that I searched out. They were a laid back group with awesome people. I was lucky enough to visit them again recently over the Christmas holiday, and they haven't changed at all. Still a great guild with great people.
- Legacy Eh was my first foray into playing competitively. I learned a lot from the players there, and my biggest worry in the early days was not being able to stay in the guild. Some former and current members of the Eh family are some of the top individual players in the game, and it's awesome to see these players having improved so much since I first knew them.
- Mavericks OG helped push me to another level. OG has been a top 5 GW and Challenge guild (sometimes top 3, and sometimes #1) for so long, evidenced by the all-time most challenge stars and GW VPs in game history. I'll miss my people from OG. They were not only excellent players, but excellent people as well. All skill, no ego. I probably would have quit a long time ago (and I even tried to, this past September), if it weren't for these guys. And I'm excited to see the future of the Mavericks family shining bright, with 3 guilds in the top 15 of this past GW season (after subtracting 40k from brand new guilds).

to me, you are the best player in NML regardless of scores or ranking, because of the time and effort you spent on your compendium. no one ever came close. great to hear you are leaving competitively in this FBTW game. there are enough games out there to occupy your time with less money spent, cos im doing it for 4 years
