Michonne in a Star Hero Yumiko Princess (SHYP) team for Challenge

With the Star Hero as Michonne, I thought I would try a SHYP team (Star Hero Yumiko Princess).

I assume that in most SHYP configurations, the reason it is versatile is you mostly lean on Yumiko and Princess.

What is the Star Hero suppose to do then? Go full defensive with damage reduction and health badging? Anything anyone who has used SHYP can tell me about what to do and not do?

To me, it seems a bit like the "One City Challenge" (OCC) in the game Civilization where you are to try to win at the hardest level with only one city ever. Here, I think SHYP seems to be about winning with Yumiko and Princess and letting the Star Hero do as much or as little as it can, but to rely on it as little as possible... Am I wrong?

    A defensive build on a warrior isn't going to be much good above a certain level. I'd recommend a damage build, mine is still as she started so I won't bother now.

    The morning star will help to stun walkers for Princess to charge up on.

    Is razor good to upgrade on morning star,i mean more body shots and stun without razor?

    Michonne can help Princess get charged more quickly by utilising the morning star to stun walkers.

    Ideally, Yumiko will be using a cripple incendiary weapon which will also aid charging.

    So apply status affect (stun, cripple, burning) then use Yumiko to charge Princess. If you get enough status effects going Princess should charge every round.

    Yeah for the most part Princess and Yumiko do the majority of the heavy lifting so you've got to think how you can navigate the map with just those two. When it's actually a good hero like it was with Yumiko things are a little different, but with Michonne her LT doesn't apply to the others and above a certain level she's not really going to get kills. 

    She can open boxes and gates whilst the other two do the real work :lol:

    I’ve been using the SHPY team for most rounds. But, I use Michonne with the Interrupt MS to give Yumi and Princess some defense against single walkers. But, she’s good for opening crates too. :sunglasses:

    That's a really odd DAR - rooting with some additional rooting 😆 on top of that no wide cone, so can't be that useful on most maps. And piercing - so can't be useful with Sasha lead.

    You do need 1 MS with tactical, razor, destructive as a dmg dealer.

    @FuriousMoldovan only potentially useful in Expert Mode LS with someone like Mercer, I think. You have the benefit of the Tactical movement after firing. Otherwise, agree that it is a very limited use case.

    Just wondering with a narrow cone where is its usefulness? What melee team does this fit with? For that matter what mapset where only a select group of walkers makes the narrow cone a non-issue compared to using the Lucky DAR?

    I don't know how it's useful without the wide spread. But I realized often when there's a weapon with new traits being introduced, after some time, there will be a better one 😅 correct me if I am wrong.

    Will give it a try depending on the kind of mission but if I can't make it through, I will use other gear 😅

    I've upgraded mine and played around with it. 

    Actually did a 50+ challenge mission with Guardian Carol leading Mercer and Yumiko... Just for kicks. Carol had the guild wars burn rifle with silencer trait and yumiko the Cripple winter bow. 

    Not as easy as spy or smy but that spawn counter didn't budge. 3 stars. I redid it with star hero after, cuz, that's how we roll nowadays. 

    Right now I only see it being useful during assault star hero weeks when you're wanting to run a melee team.

    I use Zeke and Beta with 3H + 3DR teamed with drive by Daryl 3dam + 3 cd. I got my highest score ever last week. I figure that with the morning stars, warriors are useful for the stun effect and not damage. Daryl does the killing. I'm not as good as most of you, but badging them like bruisers has taken me further in the challenge than ever before.
