Daryl's Assault Rifle (new with Ensnare & Piercing, no Widespread?)

Am I missing something with this combination? This weapon does not have widespread so it's a very narrow cone?

    Yeah, if I want an assault weapon with Piercing/Ensnare then I would prefer silver widespread instead of lucky. It still wouldn't be a top tier weapon, but maybe with a Mercer or Princess lead it can work on some maps with a threat meter.

    I'm quite glad someone noticed this as I very nearly bought it, hadn't considered that it didn't have wide spread. I was thinking it would be cool to have one that functioned like the piercing one only with added chance of root. Swing and a miss. Perhaps swapping silver lucky for spread might be better?

    If only it could be infused :trollface:

    As I said in the other thread - no widespread and piercing reduces its usage by a lot (no Sasha lead).

    What can increase its use cases is having Primed armor and at least 2 assaults on a team to cover for narrow cone. Maybe something like Princess, Mercer, Yumiko.

    But still I see the second version of DAR (lucky, destructive, widespread) as superior to it.

    Even this crate drop could be on par with this new DAR (where you don't need silent+tactical) to use with Sasha lead AND primed armor 😆

    1. Plenty of chance to interrupt and charge on primed OW
    2. Chance to root specials on charge.
    3. Stun on charge.
    4. Widespread.

    The main appeal of the DAR3 is that it falls into a niche with bulldozer as the only assault weapons that can create status without a charge attack. And the dozer will be the superior choice in most cases... Unless, for some reason, you want to keep spawn counter down.

    (star hero Rosita / Zeke / Scout for example) 

    Certainly not a must buy.

    Bulldozer is so good with mercer when Yumi is on Lt
