Hello everyone 👋
A little over a month ago with the release of 5.1, we did a couple of changes to fix the Guild Wars reload issue that took players out the mission, thus losing attacks. After that we have been hard at work reviewing player feedback, internal data, and gameplay reported bugs to help direct our next decisions. Your feedback continues to be a core component in the development of the game after all.

After that we have been hard at work reviewing player feedback, internal data, and gameplay reported bugs to help direct our next decisions. Your feedback continues to be a core component in the development of the game after all.
However, due to several unforeseen issues that have occurred recently, we have decided to roll back the changes implemented to Guild Wars since the 5.1 release. The roll back aims to mitigate the negative experiences during the last half of the Guild Wars season.
We're currently testing this roll back, and testing to see if we can release it during the Guild Wars break (week 35). If this is not possible, then we will do it after the on-going Guild War Season has ended (week 38 or later).

As a compensation, we will be having reduced healing for Guild Wars injuries from Tuesday August 23rd 7.30 AM UTC to Monday August 29th 7.30 AM UTC (depending on the roll back, we may revisit this later). Any losses in attacks due to ongoing issues may be reported to support, who will look into potential lost RP's and resources.
Thank you for being patient with us as we've been working on these matters, and we are extremely sorry for the trouble and the on-going issues.

Guildwars still has issues, you can't see if anyone is already in the zone (normaly a blue dot) and when you kill a freeman and move to fast out of the zone the message is killed by ....... and others. That is not much of a problem cause in the end it says the same name that killed the freeman . A real issue is that its not possible to see who is where in a zone. The result is two or more people do the same map. Don't know if this is a problem only on emulator or for every device.

It doesn't solve the problem, so the next two weeks of GW will be tedious for those that know about the issue, and very confusing for those that don't know about the Forums or Discord. The onus has been put on the players to be extremely careful, and communicate more than ever before, or deal with double-plays and hope support grants compensation for lost attacks & RP.

The next step for NG is to communicate this via the game. Only a small fraction of players come to the Forum.

Ok so we don’t care about those not aware about this obscure back channel communication? We lost our first war before realizing the problem. Why is NG not communicating this to all players via in game announcement??

If the rollback is successful... and down the road there is little tiny bugs that creep up now and then, and someone makes a post about how they need to be fixed, let's all remember this dark dark time and remember that it could be so so much worse LOL. And STFU 😜

How many more of these are we gonna have? Everytime you mess with something it's a disaster. Is it on purpose?

And for those of you that are frustrated by the lack of blue dots and unsure how to manage it right now, GWs is a mode that inherently requires a lot of communication. Accidental stacking of missions happened sometimes even when there were blue dots -- a good solution is to have players follow a coordinated plan and if the attacks are not specifically assigned, to announce what sector they will be working in and/or what mission they will be working on. One standardized way of referring to missions is the format of sector and mission number. So if you were going to do the pvp in the top right of island 12 sector b, for example, you'd write that mission as 12b-6.

Not every guild can be run with military precision. People also have real lives. Having to call out every map you play or be designated requires a lot of planning. It's also very tedious. I don't remember the last time my guild "accidentally stacked" a mission until now.
I play in a guild where we don't have to be micromanaged and we all have a general idea of each other's abilities and which areas of the map we work.
We were very confused yesterday why we lost attacks with this blue dot issue. That can make the difference between being able to finish a sector or putting up a perfect score, which is needed against the top guilds.
We stacked a four player KAW today which I was the last one in, and I saw no indication anyone else was in it beforehand.
Finally figured it out today after reading the forums but we have lost several attacks in the past two battles and completely spoiled our ability to close all sectors. There should have been an in-game announcement so players could have been aware of this. It seems sneaky that NG hasn't been transparent. It's soured me even more on how I feel about GW as well as many others.

I like how people click disagree on a post offering ideas of how to manage the situation in the meantime. And say that people with busy lives can't say "I'm going to be in sector 20a" because that's only what people without lives do. I get my daily laughs reading this forum.

We shouldn't have to manage broken gameplay and we should have been given notice it's broken.
Yes, some people have real jobs etc. and can't check in on some messaging platform every time they log in. Also managing in real time and doing math from missing attacks and making adjustments accordingly is a major headache for anyone doing coordination. Not to mention it takes quite a bit of time out of your day if you need to wait for sections to be opened -

rollback to situations where players will lose attacks due to a game crash?

There has been a constant “fix something” but something that wasn’t broken before now doesn’t work.
I’m afraid to ask that they fix the refresh issues for those not in the battle—who knows what they’d break if they tried! -
Just to clear something up, it's not "IN" Beta (testing), it is GUILD WARS BETA. Let me explain. The first version was GUILD WARS ALPHA, and boy that had it's problems! This version is twice as good as Alpha, hence BETA. That's it folks. Stop complaining, this is what you get. Well ... until GUILD WARS GAMMA ... but that's another story.

PROBLEM 1: Twice while working Island 10, a blue dot showed and when looked at, it showed a player as being actve against a walker mission. After several hours, this was still the case. I asked the listed player and she said that she was not playing and had no swords left. Eventually to move forward, I had to use a sword to "enter anyway" option to complete. Wasn't happy to lose this sword. I submited a ticket but this part of my help ticket was ignored and only the human blue dot display bug was addressed. This happened again in the war the next day but i dont know details. It didnt seem to happen today, but wasn't involved in war. PROBLEM 2: The reoccurring bug of blank brown grid screen when selecting Missions tab. Occurs on both android and Ipad. Have to restart phone and tablet for it to get Mission tab menu to open correctly. Ticket recommended re-installing game did not work then or today. There are options one cannot open such as Scavenge, last stand etc are not available selections without having to restart your device. After restarting, the mission menu works for awhile but always ends up with the blank brown scrren again.

The #1 bug:
It happens now when someone loses a sword in any given mission - then it shows this mission as active blue dot 🔵, even for the person who lost it. Even though they are out of this mission.
The #2 bug:
It happens after a certain time of inactivity. Reinstalling doesn't work. You need to force-close and restart the app to see all "Missions" tab options again. This bug has been there for at least several months now (during active GW only).
It's annoying though.

Bug number 2 just occurred after I opened GW as spectator and left to open up the missions menu. I now suspect that going into GW menu does something to mission menu. Will watch to see if this is always the outcome.
Appreciate your respond. Is there somewhere NG give clarifying information. There should be. Without all the great help from dedicated, helpful, generous players , there would probably be less people continuing to play. -
Generally if game ever times out or disconnects for any reason, i NEVER click the on screen button to reload the game. (i feel this is somehow an avenue to countless errors, an invitation to them)
In the event of timeout or disconnect, force close the game and then reload the game from the app icon.

Why did she post this here if nothing is gonna be said in the news section in game? And she's not gonna come back to the thread. I'm still explaining this to the weekend warriors in my guild because NG doesn't care enough to post this in the news and my guild left the forum when you got your post deleted or thread shut down regarding the Russia BS.

The biggest point of frustration has been a missing 🔵 Blue Dot indicator.
