Considering 100 already scored 5358 within, what, 2 hours of opening? What's the best guess of how many will score 5358 this week?

I originally guessed 1000. Now I am sure that number is way low.

5000? 10k?

    I started trying to show off my brand new Bulldozer

    Half way and 8 hospital spots later ... back to obliterator :D

    But only 1. The other 2 are warrior and scout to the end. Except for Sewer Rat.

    Darn. Guess finishing the last few stages of last week's challenges with SMY/SPY as opposed to the Star Hero really cost me....☹️

    Only cowards will score 5358 this week. The real heroes of NML will make this a melee-only challenge

    Not sure I follow. If you got to the end of last week’s Challenge, you would have the 26 Round Passes like the other players maxing out this week. And using Mercer this week would max out your stars. Did you not have 26 RPs to start this week?

    My first ever 5358, probably never to be repeated. 

    I really enjoyed it. I was going to post some really gross pimple popping gifs, in honor of this challenge, but instead I'll just post my screenshot and walk away.



    I'll leave all the Dr. Pimple Popper gifs to someone else.

    With mercer leading and good cookies, players are breaking 10 mil dmg with charge attacks for scout bonus damage week. I bet some nml wizards could do most of the final maps with warrior/scout mix and mercer leading them.

    Playing challenge each week is litterally the standard game + formula. I don't think it'd be bad at all for NG to create another tier of game + so players who finish challenge can keep replaying on the final nightmare rounds. There are a number of ways to do it.

    I like the idea of removing the heros used each map from the selection pool so to further advance on challenge + new heros have to be used each map. That will force some serious decision making just to cycle the last 6 nightmare maps 1 final time each.

    Sorry, I was just being facetious in my earlier comment about cowards. @ShadowWalker made a comment the other day about only cowards voting for SPY in the anniversary call and I thought it was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on the forum, so pinched his joke  :)

     Max score on any challenge map set with any star hero means someone is in a very high tier of the players and knows quite a lot about gameplay, I’m sure of that

    I really did like the easy challenge. This was my midterms week and it was really really nice to celebrate getting an A on my 160 question pharmacology exam with a bucket list nml achievement. It really won't happen again. They NEVER give us precharged hero assaults. Then on a mercer sh week? Come on... None of us saw this coming. 

    I found it nicer than any little 27 token gift or the weekly free health packs. It was cool. Spend gas for 5 mins then go back to studying.

    I even lost 1 of the nightmare rounds. Almost none of the mercer LT hits triggered and then princess got grabbed.

    I spent 120 Dwight tokens on 1hr free gas, here’s what I got from running through Sewer Rat Rd 80 MM around 80 or 90 times…
    About 45 radios
    About 120 gas
    About 3m XP
    Not bad, right?

    Come to think of it, I didn't finish. That would explain why I didn't start this challenge with 26 passes. 
    My mistake.... I do remember Merle Dixon was the Star Hero on last challenge and once the walkers were around 50+ levels, I had switched to SMY/SPY for the sake of finishing to the end (which I failed). Not enough gas and too many losses was the reason....

    I finished yesterday, but keeping it open so I can keep using the Cellar Dweller map over and over instead of the Scavenge Maps. No annoying crappy armor. Lots of XP.

I'll take a SS before 30 seconds later, I'm dropped down the list. If not, oh well. It's not like they are giving prizes for winning the challenge. That said, I'll take my 30 seconds of fame. :)

    So the lbs are still obsolete? Wow, been a long while.
    I remember days, long time ago when lbs actually mattered and kept people engaged with the same. 
    That is very sadge.

    I would say the only relevant leaderboard is the guild leaderboard, at least on a normal week. Maybe not last week LOL

    It doesn't bother me. I have zero issues sharing the title. Now if there suddenly becomes a reward for being first or second, etc, then yes, change the leaderboard settings. Until then, We can all be number 1 in our own minds with screenshots to prove it. Fun stuff!
