Another new Community Manager?!

Hey there everyone,

Last week, Pablo already had the opportunity to introduce himself, this week it’s my time to shine!

My name is Jeroen and I will be your Community Manager as well. Where Pablo will mostly be responsible for in-game updates and schedules, I will focus on reading your feedback and looking into your suggestions for improvement. Looking forward to getting to know you! I’m sure you will get to know us better over the following weeks, and that everything in regards to “Who do I talk to about what” will make a lot more sense.

A little bit about me:

Dutch but without wooden clogs, but my outside view includes a windmill
Knows about a lot of different game genres, as well as esports/cosplay
Watched quite some The Walking Dead during dinner time, waiting for that specific scene that made me less hungry
Barbecues and whisky are the best inventions ever made
From where I’m writing this, there aren’t many useful items to defend myself if the whole Walker thing becomes reality

Second job for you: I still await a serious response or a true compensation from Deca Games for this issue. Support initially didn't understand and after he handed the case to a "special department" who I don't know what he's been doing all this time.

Also, what's the status of those who want to exchange both weapons of 5.8 update to previously as stated release notes 5.8 specs. I just received another automated response & answered both 'yes' to the question of 500 gold deducted, & both weapons must be in inventory. This is the second time I'm receiving exactly similar questions from support in which I've already answered 'yes' to both questions.

Just returning the favour seeing how warmly we have been greeted by Deca.

One week trying to get a reaction out of support and Pablo so i can have the 150 event tokens i paid for.

Strategy seems to be to let the timer on the event run out and then say you can't do anything probably.

You start producing some result and i'll even give you a virtual hug.

Untill that time the warmth will be directly proportional to the service received by Deca, which is non.

Hello @Jeroen. I am glad to hear that you will be reading questions in the Forum. You didn't mention that you will be answering them, so I hope you will do that to. DECA has certainly started out on the wrong foot here with the Campaign Weapon swap fiasco and the poor communication around that. You will find we are a passionate bunch of dedicated players who have a pretty high bar when it comes to support. Having an unanswered ticket since Match 27 is pretty bad in my book. I had to PM @Pablointhehouse to look into it. So good luck to you in rebuilding the goodwill and trust that has been lost since DECA took over from NG. I look forward to seeing this improve.

Its good to see you been active in Discord, and probably you will be here also try to help bring back the positive energy and pleasure in the game what pity enough by a lot of players for sure the long term is lost and make that a big part of them retired

Do not be worried for “retired players” 🙂
i am here from the first month back in 2015 ..and from this perspective “retired players” is good for the game. it’s 7 years i see players “retiring”… from day first they started to retire. Always blaming someone.. the game… policies… Next Games.. they retire. Some players are sorrow for that ..they ask changes to have not players retiring,, then a new generation will be happy.. they forget someone retired before and so on infinite times.
When we will retire there will be another generation of enthusiast players… and they will probably never heard anything about us. It’s good to retire. it’s not “normal” being here from 7 years like me. it’s sick 😂😂😂
You started 7 months ago. isn’t sick thinking of you here still doing the same in 2020? yes it is… you will retire too one day when this game will be boring enough. But this is normal. i have been playing ALL the commercial games since the first Pong into early ‘70. …i think it would have been really weird playing 7 years a commercial game… can you believe being playing Sim City… Doom, Quake… Ghost and Goblins.. Gauntlet,, Warcraft.. Zelda.. Mario.. whatever … for 7 years?? 😂😂😂🤪 … with luck you can play a commercial game few months.
All that to say that it’s normal having players quitting…. otherwise they probably screw out losing control believing maybe to be a capybara even in real life 🤣🤣🤣🦫

@Jeroen dannng buddy, I figured as much. I'm only 6'7" (2.0 meters even). I guess you'll have to go barefoot so I can look you in the eye haha.

@capibara nice speech. @VioletFlame I used to get worked up about peeps retiring, but it's just part of the cycle. Many folks on the way out the door will try to blame their exit on one thing or another (even if they were 2-feet out for other reasons/real life etc)

Thanks for great reply on my post, Im aware that some people need an excuse to stop playing a game and find it needed to hide behind something...
When a game starts to feel like an obligation, or you start it and feel nothing by it yes then I can only say go look for another game coz a game is in my opinion something to let the world disappear to the background and have fun, pleasure and feel relaxed, chill.
So yes if people dont feel that any longer and being grumpy and get being toxic for game and the players then I hope they find soon a game or something else what make them happy again coz that where life is meant for to enjoy it and fill it with things you like to do next to the "must" things in life.

Is it sick, not healthy to play this game from day 1 sorry I disagree that from deepest out of my heart I have played other games before my disorder longer, the last game Gems of War more than 6 years and there was I a veteran, teacher to the newbies with the same pleasure, enthusiasm and passion you all see from me here, pity enough was for me not any longer possible to play it.

So I was real glad that someone pointed me to this game and this is the only game I can still play, and it stole my heart with the community I won't say I have never like a game more than this one, but this game gives me everything I like to do but the guild, family, community make it for me a great thing to spend my time and Im very loyal in game and in person so even its normal and healthy people come and go I still find it pity if I see people go who have helped me, shared with me the pleasure and interest in this game and yeah call me a softy I just like it to have the people I like and have here a great time to surround me and tbh I hope that I may get the chance to reach many years add to my 7 months... coz I love it and will always try to keep it exciting as its who I am.

I hate boring, I will be always challenging myself with a new goal to reach, and I know for sure with you guys that I will keep that pleasure, exciting in this game.

I like to help the new players and love to learn from the great players of this game and always fanatic for sure on the battlefield (GW) but next to my guild, family I want to be in contact and having fun with everyone who share the interest for this game!

Im still not used to the forum and hope that it will become better but most of you I know of the community and I try also to be more active on Discord.

Lots of pleasure all and stay positive coz together we make the game a success and keep it exciting for newbies to oldies

of course @VioletFlame i understand you ..sorry to call “sick” being here for 7 years… i am here from 7 years and i just wanted to explain that is normal having players quitting. they always did and i don’t think game policies have nothing to do with that because right when a player is quitting for one reason another player is starting to play and the same reason is not a reason to not start playing…. just wanted to say that players quitting is more normal than me playing from 7 years 😅❤️

Why "sorry" I understand you real good and agree with you, I only explain you are not alone in it and think its healthy that people follow what they like to do and for some is that play a lot different games a little and others like to play a game for years and still find it a pleasure to do, there is no good or bad in it so long you do what you like.. I can only say enjoy, as therefore is a game meant
