The problem is that the text is too beige on the black background. it doesn't stand out. It needs to be brighter. But it would be better to just give users the OPTION to have a light background.

My vision is fine in every other circumstance, but I have trouble with those maps. I have to crank the brightness on my iPad to see anything, and there's still a decent chance I'll step onto a mine without intending to do so.
